The Bennett-Barz Funeral Home is Benzie County's most established funeral home. From its beginnings in 1909 as a furniture and undertaking business, the families of Honor, Beulah, Benzonia, Thompsonville, Copemish and Frankfort have been served with dignity, compassion and respect. Now in our centennial year, our family strives to uphold the excellence of service that Benjamin "B.G." Gregor Bennett established 100 years ago.
The Bennett-Barz Funeral Home is the largest funeral firm in Benzie County. Newly renovated and refurnished, we are confident that visitors will agree that it is the finest funeral home in the area. Our stateroom, which has been beautifully renovated, can accommodate seating from 30 to 300 guests. Adjacent to the stateroom is our family lounge. It is here that we will accommodate all families and their guests with coffee, bottled water and tea. Families are welcome to bring in food and refreshments to make their stay at our funeral home as comfortable as possible. We will also arrange, upon your request; catering services during visiting hours.
